My name is Matthew, and I’m a junior at Oxford Academy. Serving at Peer 1on1 the last two and half years have shown me the importance of giving back to the community through guiding neurodiverse individuals in activities to develop and grow. Not only does this organization benefit ND individuals, but peers also learn skills such as patience, communication, and leadership through volunteering, and I hope to inspire others to take action in their own journey to serve their community.

I am a current junior at Oxford Academy. Peer 1 on 1 is an organization that means a lot to me— I get to use my passions to help others. Every week we have recreational activities to do with neurodiverse kids and it builds a true connection with each of the partners and athletes. I believe that Peer1on1 is not just a normal non profit for students, it’s a community.

I am a sophomore at Oxford Academy with over a year and a half of experience volunteering with Peer 1 on 1, supporting neurodiverse children through one-on-one activities and community events. My passion lies in fostering inclusion, building meaningful connections, and creating positive experiences for both ND kids and the volunteers. I am thrilled to continue to make a lasting impact in Peer1on1 through empathy, teamwork, and service.

I am currently a sophomore at Oxford Academy. Being a part of Peer 1 on 1 has taught me valuable lessons of leadership, inclusion, and respect. Through this organization, I hope to make a positive impact and create an inclusive environment for neurodiverse kids to feel safe and seen. In my free time, you can find me playing brawl stars and soccer.

I am currently a 9th grade student at Oxford Academy. Since joining Peer 1 on 1, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the neurodiverse community. I've learned how to communicate with and support these children and have built meaningful connections with them. In the program, I also help with organizing and managing the financial records. This experience has inspired me to become more involved in volunteer work in the future. I hope to continue making a positive impact and growing through helping others in need.
