I am Alistair Wu, part of the class of 2028 at Oxford Academy. I have broad interests in STEM, tennis, band, and visual arts. I have won regional and national awards in competitions in robotics and rocketry. I play trumpet in our school’s Wind Ensemble (the highest level of band) and won several visual arts awards. I enjoy the events and activities partly because they are effective ways to connect with people. I am passionate about sharing activities I enjoy, and my vision for the Beach Cities branch is to plan and host activities that create opportunities for social inclusion between neurotypical and neurodiverse communities.

Hi! My name is Albert Chen and I’m a student at Whitney High School, class of 2028. I'm involved in both the tennis and cross country teams, and I really enjoy being on the team and playing the sports. Outside of school, I love playing video games, hanging out with my friends, and learning about subjects like STEM and history. I'm excited to be a part of Peer 1 on 1 because I’m passionate about making a positive impact and supporting neurodiverse kids. I’m looking forward to connecting, learning, and growing through this experience!

My name is Owen Bawek-Garcia, a student at Los Alamitos High School, Class of 2028. As a dedicated athlete on the Varsity Water Polo team, I’ve competed in elite tournaments such as the Junior Olympics for several consecutive years, earning two fourth-place finishes. I’m passionate about computer science and actively seek opportunities to contribute meaningfully to my community. I joined Peer 1 on 1 with the intention of fostering greater awareness and inclusion for the neurodiverse population within the broader public. I’m excited about extending outreach to underserved communities, particularly Hispanic and Spanish-speaking families, to ensure equitable access to support and resources.
