Raina Ji
President
I’m Raina Ji and I enjoy volunteering and figure skating. I have been passionate about helping neurodivergent children since I was in third grade. Over the past five years, I have led and organized teams of over 35 volunteers, serving more than 100 autistic children through tutoring, basketball, tennis, STEM and Chess Programs. In each year, I have volunteered more than 150 hours and earned president volunteer Gold awards for five years. Through this journey, I have witnessed how neurodivergent teens often feel isolated and lack safe spaces to learn social and life skills. These experiences inspire me to continue serving the neurodiversity community by fostering environments where every child feels valued, supported, and included. My strengths lie in leadership, team building, and the ability to bring people together to create meaningful programs that make a lasting social impact.

My name is Kimmy Sha, and I will be a sophomore this year. I enjoy expressing my creativity through art, coding, and reading, and I spend much of my free time pursuing these interests. Last year, one of my artworks received a Scholastic Gold Key Award, encouraging me to continue developing my artistic skills. Since middle school, I have been involved with Peer 1 on 1, where I volunteered two hours each week to assist children with autism in creating art projects and helped develop engaging weekly themes, including sea animals, origami flowers, and paper lanterns. Through these experiences, I have developed a strong appreciation for creativity, collaboration, and service, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to a welcoming and supportive community.

My name is Shuya (Grace) Shi, a soon-to-be sophomore at Northwood High School seeking to be a leader in the Peer 1-on-1 Rise Team organization to better provide social inclusion for neurodivergent children. Though only 14, I've already had more than a year of experience with the children, a total of 61 volunteer hours in eighth grade, and have learnt to be patient, supportive, and interactive with them. I've also played main roles in multiple events with other leaders before, and am familiar with the activity procedures and friendly with frequent visitors. By granting me permission as a leader in the organization, I will help create a safer, happier space that all the children can look forward to.

Suri Li is a senior at Sage Hill School in Newport Coast, California. Since she was twelve, she has been passionate about supporting community children and children with autism and other neurodiverse needs, believing every child deserves the opportunity to communicate, learn, and pursue their goals. Through organizations including Peer 1 on 1, she has helped create welcoming spaces where children build confidence through arts and crafts, digital art, and creative expression. She is excited to continue taking the Children on a meaningful journey with hands-on creativity, colorful illustrations, and rich storytelling, filled with discovery and wonder. During her free time, she also enjoys dancing hip-hop and K-pop, building apps, and spending time with family and friends.

My name is Yumi. I'm a volunteer who accompanies children with autism. I usually handle communication and coordination, and also accompany the children to complete activities. Interacting with the children has made me more patient and taught me how to solve problems together with the team. I hope I can continue to provide such services in the future and help more people in need.

My name is Daniel Fallon. I have been working with neurodivergent children since I was in 7th grade. I love volunteering, exercising, and helping people overcome any challenge they may face. My determination also shows in my academic and extracurricular activities. I look forward to helping and becoming an integral part of Peer 1 on 1.
