President

After seeing the autistic children at my school and seeing how they needed assistance, I wanted to join the effort in improving the lives of autistic children. As a volunteer for Peer 1 on 1, I am so grateful that I have been able to introduce new exercise activities, singing activities and more to the autistic children and seeing them smile when we have our weekly activities. In my free time I enjoy listening to the music, eating and cooking different cuisines, and reading. I hope that by volunteering for the children in Peer 1 on 1, I will be able to brighten their days and see their smiles whenever we do something as simple as singing or something hard like cooking. I look forward to helping Peer 1 on 1 becoming a welcoming and fun organization.

 Vice President

I am a High-Schooler at La Salle, graduating in 2026. I will forever be grateful for my discovery of this fantastic organization. Peer 1 on 1 has taught me a myriad of valuable lessons and life skills while furthering my sociability through the connections I make with the beautiful autistic youth. Because of Peer 1 on 1’s awesome program, enabling me to connect and become friends with many young, youthful minds, I was able to, hopefully, inspire and put a smile on the Angels. As peer 1 on 1 continues to shape the future of Autism, I too will continue to do my best to construct a safe haven for all people on the spectrum.

Secretary

I am Eric Gu, a sophomore at Webb (Class of 2026). I am Peer 1on1’s secretary of the San Gabriel Valley Branch. Joining Peer1on1, I had the sole intent of helping others, and despite some challenges with the Angels, I still strive to carry out my goal. Through Peer1on1, I have improved my patience, work management, and social capabilities. I am forever grateful for all the experiences Peer1on1 has provided for everyone. In the coming years, I hope to continue to serve with a generous spirit and expand my Peer1on1 to reach more children struggling with autism.

I'm a sophomore at Temple City High School. In my free time, I like to sketch, paint, swim, and debate. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to be part of Peer 1 on 1. I'm excited to impact the lives of children with autism. Through Peer 1 on 1, I am committed to helping children with autism find happiness and courage to express themselves. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and joyful space where they can feel valued and accepted. I'm confident that this experience will be rewarding and beneficial for both myself and the children. During this program, I hope to gain skills such as patience, communication, and teamwork that will serve me well in the future.

My name is Esther Xuan and I am currently a student in Arcadia High school. Some of the things I enjoy doing are crocheting, drawing, badminton, and skiing.
I believe peer 1 on 1 is a great learning opportunity for both the angels and myself to have meaningful interactions with each other and have fun together. In the future, i hope i can use crafts as a way to bond and build connections between the volunteers and the angels

I’m a junior at Arcadia High School. My hobbies are playing tennis, baking, and eating. I joined this organization to help the angels feel welcomed to the community. I want to be seen as a friend and someone they can rely on and connect with. It’s an awesome experience working with the peer 1 on 1 team and helping the autistic families. I hope to connect with more kids!
