The workshop hosted by Peer 1 on 1 on July 5, 2022, was conducted by Officer Von Luft from the Irvine Police Department for families with special needs kids via Zoom . It was a successful event. Officer Von Luft introduced the "Return Home Program" and shared how the Irvine Police Department works with the community to improve the safety issues of families with special needs kids. The attendees also had the opportunity to express their concerns and ask questions, which were addressed by the officer. The workshop was informative and beneficial for both the volunteers and families with special needs kids, and a video of the event can be provided upon request.
